A pregnant woman has won a discrimination court case taken against the Comfort Inn Parnell Square hotel after being selected for redundancy. Denise Blatt, who was a general manager before leaving the hotel, argued that she had been treated less favourably by the hotel because of she had two pregnancies over a space of around a year and eight months.
Blatt said that she had received pay rises and bonuses prior to telling her employer that she was pregnant, after which she received a letter criticising her job performance.
